Questions about transactions, please go here

Why should I use CabFare?

CabFare is the ONLY electronic payment system that offer its users real-time online transaction reports in order for you to check if the transaction was processed correctly and is the ONLY provider that offers Chip based card transactions which assures you will be paid for the transaction.

Does CabFare pay by cash or bank transfer?

CabFare can pay you by cash through one of our Resellers available in your State or bank transfer directly from CabFare.

What are the monthly costs?

There are NO monthly costs to use the CabFare service. However, we would like you to return the CabFare eftpos terminal if you are not using it.

Where do I get a CabFare eftpos?

Please contact us and we will introduce you to our resellers who will provide you with a CabFare eftpos.

How much commission will you pay me?

CabFare offers a generous commission structure based on monthly transaction volume. Our Resellers and Agents will explain the commission structure and the CabFare features and benefits. For more information, please contact us

Other eftpos providers say they offer better commissions?

Some providers charge a monthly fee for a higher commission, CabFare doesn't. Some providers offer higher commissions for some card types and lower commissions for other card types, CabFare offers a single commission for all types to make your life and ours, well, simpler, the maths ends up being the same anyway.

As you know you never get something for nothing. CabFare offers Chip based transactions which minimise transaction chargebacks, CabFare offers real-time online reports which helps you reconcile your transactions almost immediately and CabFare offers a professional customer service which assures your CabFare eftpos is operating and making you money all the time. If these benefits are not important to you, then you should apply for an inferior eftpos service with a higher commission. Either way, you will make the same amount of money, just with CabFare it will be hassel free.

How do I apply to become a CabFare Agent?

We have a number of CabFare Agents around the country and welcome applications. So, if you think you can introduce CabFare to a number of new customers please contact us.

When will I get paid?

This is dependent on our Resellers. Some Resellers can pay you 5 minutes after you complete your transactions.

Can I manually process a transaction if I have the card number?

No. CabFare only processes card present transactions and CabFare is the only electronic provider which meets PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). This assures that all parties in the transaction are not defrauded and gives CabFare eftpos customers the confidence they will always get paid for transactions.

Some Taxi or Limousine Drivers/Operators believe they are offering their customers a higher level of service by noting the card holder's number and security code to process card transactions manually before or after the journey. This is known as MOTO (mail order telephone order) transactions. The Payment Card Industry (PCI) will phase out these type of transactions within 12 months due to the high fraud rates.
